2022 Year-end Update
Greetings from the Mountain!
This year has been FULL in many ways. We had a FULL schedule of summer camps and fall retreats! Youth Camps were FULL to overflowing with wait lists this summer. We were blessed with a FULL roster of amazing counselors! Campers and staff had FULL stomachs after each delicious meal in the Dining Hall! Campground families took FULL advantage of the opportunity to rest and recharge. Our seasonal staff had FULL work schedules, most of them serving many of the 10 weeks of summer! Our year-round staff, who serve FULL-time, have been faithFULLy serving with excellence in their areas of responsibility. It has truly been a year FULL of blessings and challenges through the ministry opportunities at Rock Mountain!
The words of Paul ring loud and clear:
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9
The Lord has provided numerous opportunities for youth, families, and churches to experience Truth, Community, and Change through Jesus Christ at camp. Our full-time staff are vital to that mission. Every day is an opportunity to be F.U.S.E.D. (Flexible, U>I, Sacrificial, Enthusiastic, and Diligent) as they address the physical, social, and spiritual needs of guests, campers, and seasonal staff. One of the unique elements of serving full-time at camp is that the staff live in camp housing. This allows our team to be FULLY available to meet the needs of guests and campers 24/7 (Thankfully, there are not a lot of 3am phone calls!). Since 1996 Rock Mountain has removed, installed, renovated, upgraded, repurposed, and updated every home available for full-time staff use. Currently, we maintain 7 houses that our staff call “home”.
One of these homes has reached the end of its usefulness for our needs at camp. This 1970’s single-wide 14×66 mobile home has been taken care of diligently, but it is time to FULLY replace it. We are planning to purchase and install a new 16×66 single-wide mobile home in its place. This new home will allow the year-round staff who reside there a more comfortable and accommodating living space as they give their FULL attention to the mission of providing opportunities for guests, campers, and seasonal staff to experience Truth, Community, and change through Jesus.

[MEANWHILE…. We are currently in the process of installing bathrooms four of our camper cabins. Praise God that the designs have been approved by code officials. And we are moving forward with the water, waste-water, and electric infrastructure planning. This bathroom project will be a major expense; however Arrowhead Ministries has dedicated resources to fund this needed investment in the cabin facilities. Since we are not currently in need of fundraising for the cabin bathrooms are focusing fundraising efforts on the Staff Housing project. Praise the Lord!]
We need $89,500 to complete this project in FULL before it is needed in May. I am praying that this home will be 100% funded by friends and supporters of Rock Mountain without the need for loans. If you, your family, or your church has been blessed by our FULL-time staff team, please prayerfully consider this tangible way to bless them.
See You at Camp!
