A Note from Rock Mountain | May 31
Greetings from the Mountain!
This note is an update about God’s provision for our staff team! “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
I am pleased to announce that God has provided us with Rachel Hobbs as our next Food Service Manager for this summer! It is wonderful to have her “back”, as she served with us 20+ years ago on service staff and as a camp counselor. It was such a joy to hear how God has been stirring a desire for her family to plug into ministry, and I am so grateful for her willingness to take this essential ministry role at camp this summer.
Here is a brief introduction from Rachel: “I am a mom to three, the wife of an amazing husband and I have been a Pre-K teacher for the last 16 years. I have been serving God through music, children’s ministries and supporting people going through difficult times at my local church. I am looking forward to seeing how God grows my family by taking us back to what’s most important while we are here at camp: serving God by serving others!”
In April, Simon Crosson joined our team as the next Maintenance Assistant. While he has not served on staff at Rock Mountain before, he has attended retreat/events here, and has been in the workforce since he graduated from High School. Our Maintenance Manager, Jay Lytle, is excited to have Simon join him as they maintain and enhance the buildings and grounds at Rock Mountain.
Here is a brief introduction from Simon:
“I’m 22 years old and the youngest of four siblings. I’ve lived in northeastern PA the majority of my life but I’m originally from Oregon. I’m looking forward to being a part of a great ministry and learning different ways that God can use me to glorify Him and build His kingdom.”
Join me in praising God for bringing Rachel (and her family) and Simon to our staff team. Please pray that they will have a wonderful ministry to the guests, campers, and fellow staff at Rock Mountain. Pray for wisdom and clarity to determine whether Rock Mountain is the ministry God is calling the Hobbs’ family to on a year-round basis. And ask God to give Rachel strength, energy, and diligence as she tackles the Food Service Manager role and responsibilities. And ask God to give Simon the strength, energy, wisdom, and diligence as he serves as the Maintenance Assistant.
See you at camp!
